According to the Altoona Mirror, the board voted last night to ratify the spending plan of a little more than $30.6 million, which includes a bottom line deficit of just over $1.8 million. And the best news for homeowners is that there is no tax increase for spring cove district residents. District Superintendent Betsy Baker says that if it comes to a worst case scenario, the district has reserve money to possibly balance the budget. All public school districts in PA are waiting for the final state budget to pass to see how much revenue they will be getting, which should help may school budgets that have already been passed.
