News reports indicate that the crash occurred on the Westbound lanes of I-80 in Centre County near the 156 mile marker. Police say that a tractor trailer hit a passenger vehicle that was stopped alongside the highway, and threw three men from the wreckage. All three victims were killed at the scene. Someone who was trying to help the three victims, was also hit by the victims car after the initial crash, and had to be taken to UPMC Altoona by helicopter. The driver of another tractor trailer that was stopped on the highway, sustained minor injuries. Police will continue to investigate.
