A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that former inmate Vasilios Pentsas Jr has filed a suit against the county, claiming he did not receive proper medical care after he was allegedly attacked by other inmates. The suit claims that Pentsas was a jailed detainee in connection with the murder of Jeffrey Ozio, who was killed in November 2020. Pentsas claims that friends of Ozio’s who were in the county jail attacked him, leaving him with severe injuries, and Pentsas claims that the county failed to provide proper medical treatment. Pentsas is seeking $3 million in damages. He is currently housed in the SCI at Fayette
