According to an Altoona Mirror report, Tyrone police officer Austin Miller told the court yesterday that he witnessed defendant John Wineland carrying at least three weapons when police arrived at his home for a situation last summer. Miller told Wineland who was was questioning him that he was not going to enter the home while Wineland was allegedly intoxicated and carrying those weapons. Law enforcement eventually surrounded Wineland’s home, which began the 18 hour standoff. The prosecution is expected to finish its case today.
