A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that the county has contracted with Zelenkofske Axelrod of Harrisburg to go through the county books for 3 years. The county has always used Young Oaks Brown Company of Altoona to conduct the annual audit, but switched this year. Commissioner Bruce Erb led the change in auditors, saying that it is good practice to use new companies. The Blair County Commissioners thanked YOBCO for their work throughout the years, but felt a change was necessary. The new firm has until July 31st to complete the 2022 audit.
