According to Pa State Police, troopers were chasing Anton Pye of Brooklyn, and Angel Vargas of the Bronx, after they were spotted doing 130 mph along Interstate 80 in Jefferson County on July 9th. The men continued to elude police until they exited I-80 and slammed into a ditch on tannery row road. After the crash, Vargas and Pye took off on foot but were captured about 30 minutes later. Police then found some $30,000 worth of luxury clothing and apple products inside their vehicle. Vargas is free on bail, but Pye remains in the Jefferson County jail on $60,000 bond.
