News reports suggest that police stopped a car that had Florida registration plates, heading South on I-99 near Tyrone. Inside were 38 year old Nathaniel Hartman of Sturgeon, NY and 30 year old William Biggs of Pittsburgh. Police got permission to search the vehicle and found a cooler that reportedly belonged to Biggs. Inside, police found nearly 3 lbs of meth, and some MDMA pills. The suspects said they spent the night in New York and were on their way to Pittsburgh when they were stopped. Biggs apparently has a record of drug crimes. Both were charged with possession with intent to deliver or manufacture drugs, and were lodged in the Blair County jail. Hartman was freed after he posted bond.
