In a report by WJAC, it seems that Republican legislative leaders were summoned to Harrisburg this week to try and complete the budget. According to the report, work was done to get the final budget passed and sent to Gov. Shapiro for his signature. The report says that the main portion of the bill has passed and is on the governors desk, but there is still work to be done on about $1.1 billion for external projects. Democrats are expected to join their republican counterparts in hopes of reaching a final budget package for passage. Once work for the $1.1 billion of outstanding money has been completed, it should finalize the $45 billion budget and get the Governors signature.
