A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that the school board has apparently eliminated the district jazz band class, a move which has some parents angry. The reason..IS Because in the report, it was stated that a Claysburg parent had told the the board that parents were assured that only the job of teaching the class would be eliminated, and not the program. But in an apparent about face, the board decided to eliminate the program. The letter stated that the jazz band would not be offered because of scheduling conflicts.
