TV news reports indicate that 30 year old Derek Louk entered his plea in Bedford County court yesterday for killing his cousin, Tyler Matthai in the spring of 2022. Lock reportedly admitted to shooting Matthai, then conspired with 2 others to set his body on fire to cover up the murder. The other 2 suspects, Courtney Boden and Jordan Robertson also recently pleaded guilty for assisting Louk with disposing of and burning Matthai’s body. Boden got 2-12 years in prison, Robertson is awaiting his sentence. Louk was given a 15-30 year sentence, and will formally be sentenced in September.
