WJAC reported that state police charged 37 year old James Smith Jr of Duncansville for allegedly assaulting the teen on at least 2 separate occasions. The report states that the victim told police she was being abused by smith at a home in Synder Twp, but was reluctant to provide specific details of the assault. Then a second report of an assault surfaced when the victim said that her mother was in the hospital having a baby. Smith was arraigned yesterday on charges including rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and child endangerment. He is locked up in the Blair County jail on $75,000 bail.
