On Tuesday, it was announced that Lumax Industries, a.k.a Lumax Lighting had suddenly closed its doors for good on Monday. Blair County Chamber President Joe Hurd express shock and sadness at the announcement, telling TV 10 that you don’t think that a business like Lumax with a great work history would suddenly close. The closure left 20 workers out of a job, and there is apparently no turning back from the decision. The report stated that there has not been any information as to why Lumax suddenly decided to close for good. Pa Careerlink is helping the now displaced workers try to find other employment.
