TV news reports indicate that Logan Twp police received a tip, and arrested 25 year old Abigail Watson, charging her with bringing drugs into Blair County from Pittsburgh. Officers were watching Watson’s movements to Pittsburgh and back. She was stopped by officers once she arrived back in altoona, where she was arrested on an outstanding warrant. A K-9 drug sniffing officer detected the presence of drugs in Watson’s car, and led police to find nearly 2200 packets of fentanyl/heroin worth more than $43,000 on the street. Watson is charged with possession with intent to deliver. Numerous police dept’s participated in this arrest, along with the office of Attorney General, Blair County 911 and the D.A.’S Office.
