WTAJ reports that the ems company has received a grant for $300,000 to help with funding for a new ems headquarters to better serve its coverage area. The company serves parts of three counties, and covers more than 730 square miles. EMS manager Wes Cartwright said that the station is in need of both more space and trained staff. Cartwright says that Mo Valley is pulling workers from the same areas as Blair, Clearfield and Centre counties, and they need to recruit some new trainees. Another $1.5 million will come from other state and local funds. More funding may be on the way from Washington to hopefully meet the current project price of $2.1 million
