Today is the 22nd anniversary of the deadly 9/11 attacks by terrorists that took more than 3000 innocent American lives. Yesterday, folks gathered for the annual “heroes walk” at the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville. Family members of the victims of flight 93 were invited to speak, to keep the memory of their loved ones alive, and to remind us to never to forget. The passengers and crew of flight 93 stormed the cockpit of their plane and took down the terrorists who hijacked the plane, which was likely headed to Washington D.C. And sacrificed their lives to save others.
