A report by the Altoona Mirror says that Judge Elizabeth Doyle sent 182 potential jurors home after they reported for duty. One potential trial had to be postponed because of the availability of a witness caused that trial to be delayed, and a second trial was canceled after both sides reach a reported plea agreement. The group of jury candidates was originally scheduled to be selected for the upcoming trial of Christopher Aikens, who is accused of causing the death of corrections officer Rhonda Russell. But that trail was moved to later in the calendar year.
