A report by WJAC indicates that an unnamed woman has apparently filed a civil lawsuit against both the Somerset County District Attorney’s office and its former chief Jeff Thomas. The suit claims that the alleged victim is seeking compensation from a 9 count lawsuit for something that occurred at the woman’s home. The report does not say whether the woman is the same person who Thomas was convicted of sexually assaulting back in 2021. Thomas was convicted in march n 5 counts of sexual assault and was sentenced to 27-84 months in prison. The suit is also asking for a jury trial.
