News reports indicate that Hollidaysburg, Spring Cove and Claysburg school districts all reportedly received bomb threats via e-mail, with state police reporting that this was a hoax. Troopers say that this was the latest attempt at what are called “swatting calls”, which are threats sent out in massive numbers, and continues to plague school districts across the country. The swatting calls are alleged threats that are not legitimate. Claysburg schools were evacuated. Bedford High School also reportedly received one of these swatting e-mails.
