News reports indicate that Crowsnest Broadband of Woodbury asked for an extension to continue work to improve broadband access to its customers. The plan was to have been completed this month, but Crowsnest officials say they need more time. They are looking to install equipment to 9 total cell towers in the Altoona area, along with Loop Mt, Cove Lane, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg and Curryville areas. Once completed, Crowsnest says that broadband access to its 1700 customers will improve. The new target date for completion is January 30th.
