The Altoona Mirror reported that police were summoned to the 7th avenue location of Sheetz on Monday night for a suspicious looking person. The report says that someone phoned police and told them about an alleged armed robbery, and the victim said the man was driving a car near the 1800 block of 4th avenue. Once stopped, the suspect identified as 29 year old Christopher Marris Castro surrendered to police. He was found with a loaded handgun, one which he told officers he found under a bush. Police found 2 pill bottles containing marijuana and Xanax. At the police station, officers found heroin stamped bags and possible crack cocaine. Castro is facing numerous charges and is in the Blair County jail on $100,000 bond.
