Charges filed in fatal Altoona car accident

News reports indicate that charges have been filed against 23 year old Caleb Criste of Altoona, for causing the deaths of two people while racing in the city. Criste and another man apparently were racing on the 10th ave expressway on Dec. 22 last year, when the accident occurred. Two people were ejected from from Criste’s vehicle. One of those ejected was hit by another passing vehicle. Collie Brown and Taura Ickes were killed in the crash. Video of the high speed race was given to police, and showed the two men racing. Criste was arraigned yesterday, charged with 2 felony counts of vehicular homicide, aggravated assault by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and other traffic offenses.
