Television news reports say that someone shot and killed one person and injured 8 others at a homecoming celebration near the campus of Indiana University of Pa. Police report the shooting happened early Sunday morning at the Chevy Chase Community Center in White T just after midnight. The IUP campus is a mile away from the scene of the shooting, and happened on homecoming weekend. 3 of the victims were apparently from Waynesburg University. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say he was a 22 year old man from Pittsburgh. Another 18 year old male from Chicago is listed in critical condition. The Chevy Chase Center is no closed until further notice.
