A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that police charged 19 year old Kolten Bem of Hollidaysburg for allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend last November, and for allegedly shooting a shotgun at another woman. After that arrest, he was charged with DUI in august, after he was accused of hitting one of his siblings. And after that he was picked up for assaulting another teenager. Bem’s attorney pleaded with Judge Jackie Bernard for bail, but she refused, citing the serious nature of all of Bem’s alleged crimes. Charges against Bem include aggravated assault, DUI, burglary, terroristic threats and strangulation.
