A report from Harrisburg indicates that the game commissions board of commissioners is proposing a rule that would prohibit the use of coyote dogs to hunt down coyotes. The purpose of the proposed ban is to keep hunters from the unintentional pushing, driving and killing of the animals during bear and deer hunting seasons. The use of dogs is now prohibited, but using coyote dogs could be on that list next. The board will meet in January to make a final ruling on this proposal.
