A report by WTAJ indicates that someone went to Altoona police to complain about 33 year old Derek Miller for allegedly agreeing to do work, then not showing up. The homeowner claims that he paid miller more than $22,000 as a down payment for work that was never done. After a while, the customer demanded to see receipts from miller for materials, but he could not produce them, saying he doesn’t keep receipts. Miller then kept stalling the customer with excuses of not having enough workers, or that he was busy with other jobs. Miller was hit wit the same charges last September in a separate case.
