A report by WJAC indicates that charges have been filed against 37 year old Randi Newlin of Conemaugh Twp for allegedly taking thousands of dollars from the north star band boosters club. Police report that Newlin is charged with cashing band booster checks, making point of reference sales and using an ATM card belonging to the boosters to allegedly steal money. Police also report that she stole $2000 at a time multiple times, but they did not release a total amount that was reported as stolen. She is also accused of falsifying bank records and for not making cash deposits accrued from fund raising activities. Newlin is charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and fraud.
