A report from Harrisburg indicate the house voted strictly along party lines 102-101 to revisit the senate bill that would move the primary vote to March 19th, much earlier than the scheduled date of april 23rd. County election directors balked at the proposal, saying it would not leave enough time to wrap up the 2023 election if moved to March 19th. And also on the table, is another attempt to make Pennsylvania’s primary vote open to all voters, including a large group of independent voters. Those against that idea say it would totally disrupt the process of choosing candidates for fall elections, and that Pa like many other states is still a Republican-Democrat state, with just those 2 parties.
