That is according to an early forecast put out by National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration. NOAA is predicting that for November thru January, the northeast could have a warmer than usual start to winter, with very little in the way of precipitation. The entire country is expecting warmer than normal temperatures right through new years day. The El Nino weather pattern will be the chief cause of the warmer than normal temperatures. Now this is only for the first half of winter. NOAA wants to advise you that these are just predictions, based on what they see as patterns of both El Nino and La Nina, and you still should listen to your local forecasts daily.
