Television news reports indicate that the airport will be named the State College Regional Airport beginning tomorrow. An official of the Centre County Airport Authority says the new name will eliminate any confusion, and will list it as a regional airport while dropping University Park, which is associated with Penn State. The airport will keep its cIty code as “SCE”. The airport offers flights to Philadelphia, Chicago and O’hare airports via United an American airlines.
