Television news reports indicate that dairy farms are telling of a sudden shortage of cardboard milkcontainers, that are generally prevalent in schools. Many schools may have to cut back on milk usage, or turn to something else until the shortage is over. 8oz and 4oz cartons are impacted the most. The reason for the shortage is that a large manufacturer is making changes at a large facility, and cannot produce their normal output of cartons. Many say this is a temporary shortage. One of three dairies that serve the Altoona school district told them their shipments will decrease in number beginning today.
