A report in the Altoona Mirror indicated that the school board agreed to settle one of two case brought by families of two student athletes who were sexually assaulted by former wrestling coach Ryan Blazier. No details of the settlement were released by the board. In fact, the report stated that the vote on the matte was quick, and th3e board moved on to the next part of their agenda. One case was set for trial in October, but was dismissed after an agreement had been reached. Blazier is serving 21-42 years in prison after his conviction on sexual assault charges.
