Television news indicates that voters in Northampton County learned that voting machines there were “flipping” votes for two state judge retention questions. People were asked to retain or not retain judges Jack Panella and Victor Stabile. But the news report says that because of a coding error, votes on that question were actually being flipped once they went through the voting machines. According to the dept of state, no other races were affected by the coding error. The correct votes will be tabulated and returned to the candidates.
