The Pa., House Judiciary Committee has set a vote for this week to consider a bill that would require safe storage of firearms in homes that have children. Failure to comply with the requirement would result in a third-degree felony in several circumstances. Those include if the death or grievous injury is caused by the minor. It could also be a summary offense if a child is found in unlawful possession of a firearm.
