The Altoona mirror reported that at their meeting last night, the board voted for a resolution that they will not exceed the 7.7% tax index set by the taxpayer relief act. The board will not vote on any property tax issue until June, when its budget will be made public and voted on. Also, the board reaffirmed its stance that the Keith athletic field is not for sale, rumors were swirling about that the field was up for sale, but not at the present time. The school board would have to vote to put the land up for sale.
