An Altoona Woman is behind bars this morning after allegedly spitting and kicking police who were called, after she refused to get off a man’s lap. Arrested was 31 year old Chenault Summers. The man who she was sitting on called police because Summers, who was much larger, refused to get off his lap. Summers reportedly resisted arrest, threatened to burn police with a cigarette and became verbally confrontational with them. She eventually got off the man’s lap when AMED arrived. Summers was arraigned yesterday on felony charges of aggravated assault and assault of a law officer. She is in the Blair County Jail in lieu of bail. Her preliminary hearing is slated for Nov 29th.
