A report by WTAJ indicates that police have charged 25 year old Demetrius Piner with assault, for the incident from July. The report states that sheriff’s deputies arrived at the victims home and saw Piner through a window. He took off running and was ordered to stop, he resisted. Then he allegedly charged at the deputies and had to be taken down with a taser. Piner is accused of assaulting the woman who was pregnant. He allegedly hit her several times, and pushed her up against a car. A passerby stopped and tried to help. Piner is in the Blair County jail on $100,000 bond.
