The Salvation Army kicked off its red kettle holidays giving campaign at several locations around Altoona. The annual fund raising drive is an effort to help families who may not have a joyous holiday season. The red kettles started collecting yesterday at 3 locations including Boscov’s, JC Penneny in the Logan Valley Mall and at hobby lobby. Two more locations are set to open on black Friday including Sams Club and Walmart. This years goal is to try and raise $70,000. Donations will be accepted through the entire holiday season.
