Blair County residents may be digging deeper into their pockets next year. The Blair County Commissioners have unveiled a 10.37 percent increase in real estate taxes. Reportedly the increase would take a $6.7 million dollar deficit and cut it in half. The remaining half would be covered by reserved funds. A public presentation of the 2024 county budget is to be made today at 2 in the Blair County Courthouse basement. Commissioners will introduce the budget on Nov 28th.
