According to television news reports, the federal government has stepped in and added 5 new charges against Suplizio. The former Dubois city manager is facing a mountain of state charges for allegedly stealing more than $600,000 from the city. Now a federal grand jury has indicted Suplizio on 5 additional counts of conspiracy and federal program fraud. The charges state that Suplizio and his former secretary Roberta Shaffer, are accused of stealing monies received from federal assistance between 2014 and 2022. According to the reports, the total now believed to have been stolen is around $800,000. The new federal charges will be tried in U.S. District court for Western Pa separately from the state charges.
