A state manager for the Department of Human Services will be assigned to oversee operations at the Blair County Children and Youth Services due to high volume of late and uncompleted reports. Problems within the county program began in 2021 because finding qualified personnel to fill positions was very difficult. The state is expected to review the program’s staffing, procedures, policies, and budgeting in an effort to improve how the county program operates. The Blair county Children and Youth Services program has been operating with provisional licenses since May of last year. The State Operations Manager is expected to be in place next month.
