The State Treasury Department has received a formal request for payments to settle a sexual harassment claim against a former Shapiro administration cabinet member. A treasury spokesperson says the 295-thousand-dollar request covers most of the claim brought by a former state employee against Mike Vereb, and about 99-thousand-dollars of it is for lawyers’ fees. Vereb resigned at the end of September as Secretary of Legislative Affairs under Governor Shapiro.
