An Altoona Family is homeless today after fire broke out in their home last night and spread into the ceiling. The home is located on the 800 block of Frankstown Rd and according to authorities with the Lakemont Volunteer Fire Company, is salvageable. Fortunately the two individuals and their three pets who lived at the home, were able to get out without injury. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
