An agreement has been reached between AMED and the Hollidaysburg American Legion Ambulance Service for AMED to take over their billing. Under a five year agreement, the Hollidaysburg Ambulance service will pay $27.50 per claim to AMED. Reportedly Hollidaysburg has struggled with billing issues because it’s been difficult to find qualified people to do the job. This agreement, which is not an acquisition, reportedly should also help both parties with some staffing shortages.
