With people in Pennsylvania and around the country preparing to set out large Thanksgiving meals tomorrow, comes word of a produce recall. California-based HMC Farms is voluntarily recalling peaches, plums, and nectarines due to listeria contamination that the CDC says has resulted in the death of one person and the hospitalization of ten others. The fruit was sold at retailers across the country, including at Walmart and Sam’s Club stores, between May 1st and November 15th of this year. Fruit included in the recall was sold in two-pound bags under the brands HMC Farms and Signature Farms and sold individually with stickers bearing select codes and numbers.
