Electricity rates are about to be reset across the state starting December 1st. Utility companies are updating the cost of electricity they purchase on behalf of customers who opt out of shopping for their own electricity. Roughly 77-percent of electric customers across PA fall under that category, according to the Public Utility Commission. Last year, electricity prices increased significantly as the cost of natural gas increased.
