Blair County Property Owners may be digging deeper into their pockets next year. This morning the Blair County Commissioners will be meeting to introduce a 2024 tentative budget that includes a 10.37 percent increase in real estate taxes. Earlier, the Commissioners met and settled on the proposed increase during a workshop meeting. If approved the real estate taxes will increase from 4.097 mills to 4.522 mills. This morning’s meeting will begin at 10 in the public meeting room in the courthouse basement.
