A Clearfield County man is behind bars today after he allegedly raped a child. 58 year old Byron Carter of Beccaria was charged after a child came forward about being sexually assaulted in an RV. State Police report that Carter has been charged with rape of a child, statutory rape and numerous other charges. Carter is currently in the Clearfield County Prison in lieu of bail which has been set at $250,000.
