A 76 year old Altoona man will be on probation for five years after he made threats inside Altoona City Hall and claimed to be a U.S. Marshall. George William Kennedy entered guilty pleas yesterday to terroristic threats and impersonating a public servant. Reportedly, last July, Kennedy made threats at City Hall where he went to complain about a motorcyclist driving erratically. He also said he was a U.S. Marshall and claimed he could take the law into his own hands. When city police took Kennedy into custody for the incident at City Hall, they discovered he was out of jail on bail, on charges he took an Altoona man’s boat and trailer in April. As part of the negotiated sentence, Kennedy is to have no contact with Altoona City Hall or the owner of the boat.
