Bellefonte Woman Charged With Vehicular Homicide

A Bellefonte woman has been charged with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence for an April crash in Bellefonte, that killed a 76 year old man.  31 year old Meghan Horner was reportedly driving under the influence of THC, amphetamine and an opioid prescription medication, when she crossed into the opposite lane and struck a car driven by Andrew Swarm of Bellefonte. Swarm was taken to UPMC in Altoona where he later died of his injuries. Horner is charged with felony counts of homicide by vehicle while DUI, and numerous other charges. She was arraigned yesterday and posted bail. A preliminary hearing is slated for next Wednesday.
