A Claysburg man has been arraigned on two felony counts of corruption of minors, sexual assault of a minor and numerous other charges after admitting to sexually assaulting two young girls. He’s been identified as 33 year old Edward Westerwelle. During an interview with police earlier this week, Westerwelle initially denied abusing the two girls, then later confessed to inappropriately toughing both. Unable to post bail, Westerwelle is currently in the Blair County Prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 20th.
